THE GINGERBREAD MAN

Today Mrs. B. read us the story, "The Gingerbread Boy".

At the end of the story, there was a special note that looked like......
...this. It was a note from the Gingerbread Man and he told us we couldn't catch him. If we wanted to try, he would be in the room in school where you could check out a book. THE LIBRARY!!
When we got to the library, Ms. Oeth found another note from the Gingerbread Man. He told us that he went to the room at school where you could sing a tune! THE MUSIC ROOM!!
When we got to the Music Room, Ms. Solis had found another note from the Gingerbread Man. It told us to go to the room in the school where we eat and there waiting for us would be a delicious treat! OUR PRE-K CLASSROOM!!
On the way back to our classroom, we found a Gingerbread Man on the floor!

When we got to our classroom, we found bowls of Gingerbread Men cookies in our snack trays. They tasted YUMMY!

SNOWBALLS!

Today we read the book, "Snowballs", by Lois Ehlert, which is a story about some children who are eagerly awaiting to get some snow. During their wait, they collect and save various items to use for building snowmen and other snow creatures when it finally snows. During Free Choice this week, each child will create his/her own snowman using various recycled items. We will display these snow creatures in our classroom. What is the best thing about our snow creatures? They won't melt!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MRS. JENKINS!

Today we surprised Mrs. Jenkins with cards, flowers, and donuts to celebrate her birthday, which was during the Winter Break. Happy Belated Birthday!
