"BOOK IN A BAG"

Next week will be the last week for "Book In A Bag" for Pre-K "A". At the end of the week, we will have the children read their final "Book In A Bag" to their second grade buddies.

Next week, Pre-K will take our learning outdoors! Children do not need to wear school dress code next week. Rather, they should come to school dressed in play/old clothes appropriate for outdoor play and learning experiences. If you would like, your child can bring in a pair of boots to keep here at school next week. We will be taking hikes through the woods. For those children who attend Extended Day Pre-K, we kept their boots here from the Winter.

ZERO THE HERO DAY!

Today we celebrated our last Zero the Hero day. Sasha and her mom provided us with a wonderful activity--decorating flower pots. Look for these to come home tomorrow!

PEOPLE PATTERNS

Today we did patterns using ourselves. We divided up the class into our purple and green groups. Each group brainstormed different ways to create and continue a pattern. We then joined back together to see if each group could identify what the other group's pattern was.

~The purple group's pattern was Happy, Happy, Sad~
~The green group's pattern was Butterfly, Moth. The child's arms in the photo below represent how a butterfly or a moth rests its wings.~

We then divided the class into groups again--boys and girls. Each group came up with another pattern. Be sure to ask your child what his/her group's pattern was!
