SKITTLES GRAPH

Each child started with a blank graph and a small cup of Skittles.

Each child then graphed his/her Skittles according to their color. Be sure to ask your child to see his/her graph and ask which color has the most, which color has the least, and if any colors are equal.

Z IS FOR ZOO!

For today's seatwork, the children spelled and wrote the work zoo on their paper. Then, they drew 3 pictures of zoo animals. Of course, they were very proud that they could spell the word, zoo, on their own! Be sure to ask your child what zoo animals he/she drew on his/her zoo page.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EMILY!

Today we helped Emily celebrate her 5th birthday. Her mom read the story, "Are You Grumpy, Santa?" and then we ate brownies and ice cream for snack. Yummy! Happy Birthday, Emily!

TODAY'S SPANISH CLASS

In today's Spanish Class, the children used Froot Loops to practice saying their color words, for counting in Spanish, and for creating patterns. Of course, the best part was eating the finished product!

This is an interesting new book we have that includes life-size photos of the heads of zoo animals. You should see the photo of the giraffe!
