QUIET QUILT DAY ON WEDNESDAY!

DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR QUILT TO SCHOOL TOMORROW TO SHARE FOR SOUND BOX AND TO DO OUR "QUIET TIME ON QUILTS" ACTIVITY!
Today we added a "flower arranging" activity to the Dramatic Play Butterfly Garden. In the photo below, Reese, Miles, and Jake are ready to find a place to decorate the classroom with their flower creations.

THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR

Today we read the story, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", by Eric Carle. The children participated in the telling of the story using flannel board pieces (see photos below). Be sure to ask your child about the mistake that is in this story! As a follow-up activity, each child was asked to draw a picture of what he/she could eat if he/she was as hungry as a caterpillar. See the children's responses on the bulletin board outside our classroom.

Robert retells the story of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" on the flannel board during Free Choice time.

"QUIET QUILT DAY"

This Wednesday, April 14th, we will have "Quiet Quilt Day" and spend some quiet time on our quilts in Pre-K! On this day, your child should bring in a quilt from home to share for Sound Box (a baby quilt, large quilt, regular blanket, etc. will work). Remember, the quilt is your child's item for Sound Box on this day.
