~our "Star of the Week", Emmanuel.
~my community helper homework.
~the new activities we could do at Free Choice.

STAR OF THE WEEK:

Emmanuel was our Star of the Week. Be sure to ask your child about Emmanuel's favorite things.

NEW FREE CHOICE ACTIVITIES:

Robert draws a face on a pumpkin.
Ian drawing a face on a pumpkin.
Charlie practicing his counting skills.
Maren shows the snake that she made.
Ethan shows the spider web that he wove.
In this activity, plastic spiders are hiding in the rice. A child has to scoop up the rice and a spider and with the slotted spoon sift the rice until the spider is the only object left in the spoon.

Cooked, colored spaghetti in the sensory tub was a fun, silly activity!
Reese using her problem-solving and spatial reasoning skills to fit all the pieces into the square.
She did it!
ANIMAL OF THE WEEK:

LINEMAN VISIT

Today Talor's dad and his co-worker, "Mr. Kim", visited our classroom to share with us about being a Lineman for an electric company. We learned about how electricity reaches our homes; saw some of the HUGE tools a lineman uses; and tried on some of the safety equipment a lineman wears.

AMBULANCE VISIT

Today Ethan's dad visited our classroom and explained to us how ambulances are built. Then, we went outside where a real ambulance was waiting for us to see. We toured the inside of the ambulance and heard the horn and siren, too.

VETERINARIAN VISIT

Today, Dr. Agrawal visited us to share about her job as a veterinarian. She demonstrated on a stuffed animal how she examines a dog. Dr. Agrawal also brought in some interesting x-rays for us to examine. See if you can determine in the x-ray below what the dog in the x-ray swallowed. Your child will give you the answer!
