BUTTERFLY STORIES
Prior to Free Choice today, we introduced butterfly books (blank books) which have been added to the writing center. We are asking each child to create a butterfly story some time during Free Choice before the end of the school year. Look for your child's butterfly story to come home in his/her blue folder some time in the next few weeks!

MELTING BEADSAnother activity we introduced at Free Choice today was "melting beads". Children start with a template on which they place beads of their choosing. Once the template is filled with beads, the teacher will iron the beads, heating them so they melt together. This forms the figure on the template and the template can be removed. This was a very popular activity today!
